Today, we have a special campaign for members of the Disney Movie Club. Since the Disney Movie Club is where Disney does exclusive physical releases of content that they deem to not be worth a full retail release, they could be the perfect place for Disney to test-market physical releases of lesser-known classic Disney Channel titles that might not get enough attention to make a full retail release worth the effort.
There are three ways to reach out to the Disney Movie Club:
1. Contact Disney Movie Club on Facebook and/or Twitter to tell them you wish to see more classic Disney Channel content released on DVD. Try to limit yourself to no more than a few examples (up to 3-5 shows and/or movies would be a good amount) as long lists may not be taken as seriously as a nice short list.
2. Send an email to Disney Movie Club (DMCContactUs@movieclubinfo.com or DMCContactUsCA@movieclubinfo.com for Canadian residents) explaining that you want to see more Disney Channel classics released on DVD through Disney Movie Club.
3. Call Disney Movie Club Support at 1-888-257-9100 and tell them that you would like to see more classic Disney Channel Original movies/shows released on DVD through Disney Movie Club.
To find out if your favorite Disney Channel Original Movies have been released to DVD, refer to our new Google Docs spreadsheet (link to the spreadsheet). This can help give you an idea for which movies to include in your request.
As 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the Disney Movie Club, this could be the perfect opportunity for them to resurrect the Exclusives line by releasing more Disney Channel classics on DVD through the product line, belatedly following up on the previous DMC exclusives from the Disney Channel catalog (e.g. Smart House, Jumping Ship, Wizards vs. Vampires, and Kim Possible Seasons 1-2).
