We are still making progress with 2,295 signatures as of this writing, proving there’s still a demand for physical releases of Disney Channel content in the age of Disney+.
Recently, there have been reports of Disney+ having issues for most subscribers around the world according to this news article on the What’s On Disney+ website. Most significantly, there has been a major Disney+ outage during the UFC 257 event on ESPN+ due to both services sharing the same infrastructure.
This shows that streaming services (including Disney+) are not bulletproof due to not being able to guarantee constant 24/7 service. Inevitably, there is always a chance that another major outage could happen and we wouldn’t know how long it would take for the service to come back up. We can watch physical DVD/Blu-ray movies and not have to be dependent on an internet service, meaning we can watch them even in the event of an internet outage.
If you were affected by these outages at all, feel free to let me know below.
Also, I’d like to give a special thanks to everyone who has participated in our campaign to release the Zenon trilogy on DVD (if you haven’t participated already, just read our last update for details), join us this February for another campaign to release The Famous Jett Jackson on DVD.
