Hello. We are still making great progress on this petition to get the old Disney Channel Original Movies and complete shows released on DVD, with 1,285 signatures as of this writing.

Unfortunately, I have some very sad news to report for all physical media collectors. As of today, Disney has no more plans on releasing 4K Blu-rays of live action catalog titles including titles from Fox. Although this doesn't particularly concern Disney Channel content, I figured this was still an important thing to bring to everyone's attention. Even though this mainly affects physical 4K releases of live action catalog titles, this is still a very bad sign as it proves that Disney is getting closer to ending new physical movie releases in favor of Disney+ and digital distribution. Even though most Disney Channel content is on both platforms, I'd still like to be able to own physical DVD copies of my favorite DCOMs and shows, and I'm sure many of you people reading this update do, too. There are also people that want 4K Blu-rays of old live action Disney and Fox titles, for the best quality possible which digital distribution can't offer. We should not let Disney ignore the importance of physical media for collectors and especially people with poor internet connections who can't use streaming.

We all need to let Disney know that physical media is still an important market for many people.
