Hello, I have some bad news for those who have Disney+. Many of you thought that since everything on Disney+ is owned by Disney, you'd think the problem with titles being removed (like what happens to Netflix) wouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong. It is confirmed that Disney+ has removed some titles (specifically Home Alone, Dr. Doolittle, and a few Fox films) and is uncertain as to whether or not they will return.

Read this article for more information: https://www.polygon.com/disney-plus/2020/1/2/21046851/films-leaving-disney-plus-home-alone-pirates-of-the-caribbean-dr-dolittle

In addition to a few Fox films being removed, two Disney movies (The Shaggy Dog, and one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies) have been removed from Disney+. Who's to say any of Disney Channel's original shows and movies are next in line for removal? As stated in a previous update, they were caught using incorrect prints of certain DCOMs (i.e. 4:3 prints of movies that have 16:9 prints), so there's a possibility that the affected DCOMs may be in line for removal from Disney+.

This shows one big reason why it's important for us to be able to obtain physical copies of certain shows and movies, in the event that they're no longer available to stream. If Disney Channel content gets removed from Disney+, there will no longer be a legitimate way to watch most of it, unless Disney plans on releasing those shows and movies to DVD at some point.

Let's all make sure Disney releases the old Disney Channel shows and movies to DVD before the format goes away, so we can prepare for the event where Disney+ either shuts down or removes any of Disney Channel's content. What are your thoughts on this situation? Feel free to comment below.
