I adore the original "Dumbo" from 1941 and got super excited when I saw the teaser trailer for "Dumbo 2" on the 60th anniversary VHS of the original film. But then, I found out that John Lasseter became CEO of Walt Disney Animation Studios and cancelled it. I think the people who were working on "Dumbo 2" had their minds in the right places and the story and characters they had come up with seemed very interesting to me. When I was a kid, I loved the story of Dumbo so much I wanted to see it continue. And I still want to see it continue as an adult. I'm sure a lot of fans of the original film agree with me on that, but apparently, John Lasseter doesn't. If they could finish production of "Dumbo 2" and maybe release it on Disney+, that would be awesome to me. Disney gave us a lot of sequels to their classic films that weren't really all that good, but I think "Dumbo 2" could work if given the proper material. And the people who were working on it seemed to have it. I want to see a Dumbo movie with a real villain and find out where Dumbo's father is. I also want to see Dumbo interacting with other animals his own age and go on a big adventure with them. So, I hope a lot of you support me and sign this petition to bring "Dumbo 2" into the light.
