It has been noticed among the fanbase of John Cena (via Reddit) that he shares a resemblance to the late Jim Varney. It has been discussed among these fans that a reboot of this cult classic franchise would prove successful. 

Given John Cena's known physical abilities, along with his recent films, it has been noticed that Mr. Cena would give the beloved cult character of Ernest the proper reintroduction. Mr. Cena has proven for nearly two decades how to captivate an audience. He has shown great comedic timing in many of the roles he played. Of course, the best thing he is known for is his work with children, and this opportunity would be able to grant him a whole new generation of fans. 

I am calling out to the Walt Disney Company to bring back their Ernest franchise in a new, positive light. These movies have been given many opportunities to bring the family together on several occasions, and endeared themselves to bring extra life to the wonderful holidays that we celebrate. These movies would be able to serve as another new learning platform to children about the social issues while bringing laughter to the whole family.
