Many people want to change the theme of the widely popular and successful Splash Mountain ride and re-theme it with a Princess and the Frog. This would be a great update for Splash Mountain, seeing that it is based upon the most racist film Disney has created. But for most people, Splash Mountain has a huge nostalgic factor. So, instead of changing the rides theme, Disney could re-make Song of the South into a movie without any racism, and make it even so it displays and explains the hardships to many slaves in america. This will make it so Splash Mountain can keep it's theme and be based on a non-racist movie instead of the original Song of the South. And even better, Disney could still create a Princess and the Frog ride (which is desperately needed at the Disney parks). But if Disney decided not too, Splash Mountain will continue to be based the most racist Disney film. And people who don't want to see it changed will also be angry or disappointed if it does change. The best solution to keep the nostalgia and get rid of the racism is to have Disney re-do the movie. And then, once the movie is finished, we petition for a Princess and the Frog ride. :)
