Officially Acquire Hasbro, Inc., and Its Properties, and Products.
The Issue
We, the undersigned, convince The Walt Disney Company to officially acquire the American worldwide toy, board game, and entertainment company Hasbro Inc., and, its properties, including Transformers, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers (which will mark a return to Disney owning Power Rangers, for the first time since 2010, when Haim Saban, creator of the series, regained ownership of the franchise after seven years under The Walt Disney Company, as well as being sold to Hasbro from Saban), Rom, Micronauts, M.A.S.K., Monopoly, Furby, Nerf, Twister, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig, and PJ Masks, as well as its own TV channel Discovery Family (a joint venture of Hasbro and Discovery, Inc.). In 2019, Hasbro, Inc. bought Entertainment One for about $4 billion (3.27 billion pounds) in cash, adding the independent studio with preschool brands such as Peppa Pig and PJ Masks. We all know, The Walt Disney Company owns the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), EPSN, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox (film and TV studios), so, next up, they could officially acquire Hasbro, Inc.
Since the 1980s, The Walt Disney Company has created and acquired corporate divisions in order to market more mature content than is typically associated with its flagship family-oriented brands. The company is known for its film studio division, The Walt Disney Studios, which includes Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, and Blue Sky Studios. Disney's other main units and reporting segments are Disney Media Networks, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer & International. Through these segments, Disney owns and operates the ABC broadcast network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic; publishing, merchandising, music, and theater divisions; and Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, a group of 14 theme parks around the world.
Hasbro, Inc., is the largest toy maker in the world in terms of stock market value, and third largest with revenues of approximately $5.12 billion. Hasbro owns the trademarks and products of Kenner, Parker Brothers, and Milton Bradley, among others. The Hasbro brand also spawned TV shows to promote its products, such as Family Game Night on the Discovery Family network, a joint venture with Discovery, Inc.. As of 2019, it is also the parent company of mass media and entertainment company Entertainment One. The corporate headquarters is located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Its products are all, but not limited to, toys, puzzles, board games, wargames, RPG, sports equipments, and electronic games. Hasbro, Inc also owns the company Allspark, the American production and distribution company located in Burbank, California. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American toy and multimedia company Hasbro. Allspark Pictures is Allspark's live action production label, while Allspark Animation is its animation production label. Cake Mix Studio is the company's Rhode Island-based producer of commercials and short form content.
So, that was the histories of Disney and Hasbro, something to make sure The Walt Disney Company has the official rights to acquire Hasbro, Inc. Gee, imagine Mickey Mouse and Twilight Sparkle (and the rest of the MLP property) in one place, as well as Donald Duck and Optimus Prime in one place, and, Goofy and Rich Uncle Pennybags, the mascot of Monopoly in one place. Even you could imagine a crossover of Vampirina with My Little Pony, as well as a crossover of Transformers with Toy Story.
If this acquisition is official, the brand could be named, "Disney/Hasbro", similar to the Disney/Pixar brand name for after the acquisition of Pixar by The Walt Disney Company back in 2006. Also, maybe Allspark Pictures and Allspark Animation could be labels of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, though it will be marketed through the possible Disney/Hasbro brand. Future films based on Hasbro properties could be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. As of now, Hasbro's upcoming film slate includes Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins (2020, Paramount/Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer), Micronauts (2021, Paramount), the untitled My Little Pony movie (2021, Paramount/Paramount Animation), and the untitled Dungeons & Dragons reboot (2021, Paramount).
Anyway, this petition could be for Disney and Hasbro fans, who want to see Disney and Hasbro properties together, through The Walt Disney Company's official acquisition of Hasbro, Inc., and all (but not limited to), of its properites and products.
