Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a fantastic attraction that has thrilled millions of guests at both Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Park. However, many guests do not get the chance to experience this mind-blowing attraction due to the boarding group process. This boarding group process has seen several changes over the course of its lifetime, but it's not enough. Too many families leave the park disappointed about not having ridden their most anticipated ride ever.

PROPOSAL: Disney opens up the stand-by line for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance as a secondary option for guests not able to obtain a boarding group.

A few things to note:

• The stand-by line could open and close periodically throughout the day to help maintain social distancing and crowd control within the actual queue line

• The amount of people that will be able to obtain a boarding group would be SIGNIFICANTLY reduced due to a large chunk of the ride's capacity now being dedicated to a stand-by line

• Disney could use the FastPass line as a new way to load guests using the boarding group process

• Disney could slowly roll this feature out over time; first starting off with very minimal stand-by line access on low crowd days and then eventually opening up the stand-by line on a day-to-day basis
