Tron: Uprising was a superbly well-written and immersive show that aired on Disney XD from 2012-2013. The show was a prequel series to Disney’s Tron: Legacy, detailing how the program Beck carried the mantle of the Grid’s protector, Tron, in order to inspire an uprising against the tyrannical leader CLU and his forces. 

The show was cancelled after the 1st season.

With Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, debuting on November 12, 2019, there is a chance for Tron: Uprising to flourish and give new fans and existing ones more insight into the events that resulted from Beck’s efforts and that resulted in the events told in Tron: Legacy.
