Bring back Big Hero 6 The Series for another season
Bring back Big Hero 6 The Series for another season
The Issue
It was recently announced that Disney’s Big Hero 6 The Series would not be getting another season. However, taking away this series would be taking away from our children’s future, and a big opportunity for Disney themselves. Allow me to explain. Big Hero 6’s Baymax is a fun lovable character who can teach our kids all about safety and healthcare, which is especially important during the current pandemic. Kids don’t like to talk about health and safety, but Baymax presents a fun way for kids to learn about this necessity. Right now, Baymax teaches kids to wear seatbelts, to listen to your doctor’s advice, and what do do in certain medical situations. If Disney would continue with another season, they could incorporate pandemic life and teach kids how to stay safe. A child might not want to listen to their parent, but they would almost certainly listen to a fun, lovable robot.
Additionally, Big Hero 6 The Series teaches kids to deal with their emotions and grief. Throughout the series, we see Hiro deal with the loss of his brother. Seeing someone close to their own age can help them understand and deal with these feelings. It is essential that children learn to control and express their emotions, and Big Hero 6 The Series can help them do just that.
Also, this series presents other ideas that are good for kids. For example, it teaches them to help others, and that anyone can be a hero. As well as this, it can teach kids that school and learning can be fun, and that anyone, even girls, can be scientists. I have also seen this show teach kids that it’s ok to be different because Hiro is so smart and stands out, but that’s ok, and also, that having good friends is important. Overall, the series is very relatable to everyday life and the struggles of growing up.
From personal experience, I have seen the way this show has helped my kids. Immediately after we started watching Big Hero 6 The Series, I saw my kids become nicer, more interested in school and science, more confident, and more aware of the need to stay safe. I believe that this show can do that for you too. Even as an adult, this show touched me in a way that no other kid’s TV program has.
I also feel that bringing it back for additional seasons would be beneficial for Disney. With the release of the new Baymax! Series on the wildly popular Disney+, the demand for more Big Hero 6 will be higher than ever. With the expected wild success, people will likely begin to watch the Big Hero 6 The Series more as well. This one way why it would be better for Disney to continue the series further. It would also be great for Disney because, as stated before, they could use the pandemic situation to create a season where they could use Baymax’s health care programming to teach children about how to stay safe. In the process, they would also be preserving a piece of history that people will go back and watch for years to come. So when we’re telling our grandchildren what it’s was like, we can present our history to them in a way that will engage them, and our story will always be remembered. As you can see, bringing back the series would be beneficial for both sides: Disney and its viewers.
