America's Funniest Home Videos was started in 1989 on ABC, and since then, 700+ episodes have aired, along with several spinoffs. However, a very large chunk of episodes are publicly lost, having not been since since the last time they were syndicated up to 15 years ago. A lot of the fans really want to see their favorite host's eras again, but cannot due to the fact that the episodes are either not seen past summer reruns, or not seen after they've left syndication. Saget's era is particularly guilty of this, as his era has not aired on TV since 2010 with no home media releases apart from a select few season 6-8 episodes on DVD by Shout Factory between 2005-2007. Now, Disney is taking down episodes on YT, so it's even harder.

The only way most episodes can be accessed is through camrips or old home recordings, which I believe is not fair, since masters for the show are known to exist (as seen in the 2019 documentary "America, This is You")

The spinoffs have not received any better. America's Funniest People (1990-1994) and World's Funniest Videos (1996) haven't been syndicated since the mid 2000s. Videos After Dark (2019) only aired 2 out of its 14 episodes, both on the same day, and never aired again. Despite this, AFV: Animal Edition has all its episodes found and they are all on Disney+, which makes no sense.

Disney+ currently has the widescreen remastered syndication edits of seasons 12-19 (even then some episodes are missing, and these edits have a lot of remastering errors), and the original versions of season 23. If they can add those, there is nothing stopping them from adding the other episodes. (aside from music rights but even then, they can just edit those out)

TeenNick is currently syndicating the Alfonso episodes with some edits, but that is still a HUGE win! The episodes deserve to air again.

What I ask is for Disney+ to add every era and spinoff of the show unedited, and if not, at least put it on DVD. The world needs a laugh now more than ever especially with all the chaos going on, so having a backlog of 30+ years worth of funny videos really would help out a lot. Especially now with the passing of the show's original host, Bob Saget. The Saget years should be added on Disney+ in memory of him. I'm sure fans of the show (including myself) would love to see his era in full.
