During Covid-19 we are out here caring for people in their home, and putting ourselves, and our employees at risk. We agree with the increase of pay for the employees, but the state also needs to increase the pay to the owners, so they can pay the new wages. Currently companies will only be making $4 off each case after paying employees. Businesses will fold if they aren't able to stay a float and people lives depend on this . There are seniors not getting the care they need because of the pay for employees, and to the company owners. Lets put the money where it is needed, and that is for the care of the seniors, and the people caring for them. Companies have to buy more supplies now because of Covid-19. People are calling out of work. Companies need to be able to afford to run their businesses. An increase is needed . Instead of $14.37 and hour Home Health Agency Owners in Virginia should be receiving $25 and hour, so they can pay their employees, and run their business, and cover all the fees, and everything the government, and clients require.
