The Issue

Overdose-related fatalities have quadrupled since 1999 - recently becoming the #1 cause of accidental deaths in America. Police departments and high schools have started carrying Narcan kits, a package similar to that of an EpiPen's, that contains a nasal spray that reverses the fatal effects of opioid/heroin overdose.

In the Central Valley, prescription opiate overdose (Morphine, Vicodin, Oxycontin, Methadone, Fentanyl) is nearly twice that of heroin. This means that the people overdosing are not junkies, and their drug dealer is not a criminal - rather, they're your son, daughter, mother, or father - and their dealer is a physician.

Police departments and school districts have incorporated the Narcan program and have seen tremendously successful results. Although the Central Valley's numbers are not as high as other parts of the nation, WHY LET THEM GROW ANY HIGHER?

Join the Valley Narcan Project and give our police departments and high schools Narcan. Let's save lives before it's too late. Go to www.ruthmcleodkearns.com/valleynarcan for more information.
