As it was getting colder in Ohio, The University of Toledo decided to remove the AC unit truck from Parks Tower, this has resulted in some rooms becoming 90° and even higher. Now, as we pay to live in our dorms we should be allowed to live comfortably. There is no reason we do not have an air conditioned building when it is 81° outside. There are also many people with health conditions that are worsened when put into warmer climates. There is zero excuse as to why The University of Toledo is putting their freshman in uncomfortable living environments. Some students have gone so far as to move out of their dorm and into a different building due to the increasing heat levels. This is simply not acceptable as students moved onto this campus to live in their dorms, not to be forced to move due to uncomfortable housing conditions. By signing this petition we hope that The University of Toledo will realize that it is simply too hot to not have air conditioning in their dorms, and bring it back.
