Re-examination of Human Rights NGOs

The Issue

In the past year, the murder of George Floyd by a white police officer triggered protests and concerns about racism in the United States and around the world, therefore the bold "Black Lives Matter" movement began, demanding an end to the systematic anti-black racism and violence at the hands of the police. But then, Asian Americans also encountered a difficult situation and suffered many cruel hate crimes, like being set on fire and killed.

Racism in the United States is not a secret. After the Civil Rights Movement, the country went from open discrimination against African and Asian Americans to a more covert patterns of systemic racism. In the US, African and Asian Americans and other minority groups are more vulnerable to financial insecurity, joblessness, poor health services, homelessness, and lower rates of higher education.

Australia shocked the world with heinous war crimes. The Australian Defence Force (ADF) killed 39 civilians during its presence in Afghanistan, and was proud of this "warrior culture", including cutting the throat of a 14-year-old child, shooting civilians fleeing in handcuffs, and even counting murders and throwing corpses at will.

Human rights organizations have missions to protect human rights, but they have turned a blind eye to the crimes of the United States and Australia. The culture of bowing to the countries headed by the United States replaced their common norms and values for the protection of human rights. They did not report and condemn these actions, nor did they promote rapid justice.

This is their consistent practice. They selectively pay attention to global human rights issues, pay special attention to human rights issues in third world countries, and selectively ignore the above-mentioned problems in the United States and the West. If there is racial discrimination in third world countries, if Iran or Iraq commits war crimes, these human rights NGOs will launch strong protests and condemnation without any doubt.

It's time to stop the double standards established by human rights NGOs and truly fight for the protection of human rights!

Here we initiate petitions and appeals:

1. African organizations, Asian organizations, Muslim organizations, etc., jointly sign petitions, send letters to the local government or parliament, the headquarters of human rights NGOs or the United Nations Human Rights Council, or organize demonstrations and marches.

2. The human rights NGOs should launch investigations on the human rights issues in the above-mentioned Western countries, and call on the responsible country to compensate the suffering countries or the victims in the name of the organization

3. The United Nations Human Rights Council should re-examine the qualifications of the relevant human rights NGOs.
