The UK government has generously agreed to support the workers of this country with 80% of their wage and in doing so, has has failed to recognise the additional income received by millions in the form of service charge and card generated tips.

Many people in the service industry live paycheck to paycheck. By not including in its calculations both service charge and card generated tips, a substantial number of hospitality workers are now faced with a cut in wage of up to 50%.

Many rely on that extra money each month to support their family; to put food on their plates and a roof over their heads. If the government does not recognise that service charge and card generated tips are not of considerable importance, then the government should cease to tax the two as though they do.

Help me bring this in front of the House of Commons for debate and to put pressure on our Members of Parliament to put an end to the taxation on service charge and card generated tips.
