Young female members of the Mandaean community (a small minority ethno-religion) across the world are faced with little to no choice when getting married. They are given the "option" of choosing a marriage ceremony which incorporates a virginity check, or to choose to go without the virginity check, which leads to public disgrace and humiliation and shame being brought upon the family. 
Virginity checks are an archaic form of misogyny, sexual assault, oppression and sexism that has NO place in 2020, and must be eradicated for the safety and wellbeing of Mandaean women around the world. 
Virginity checks are inaccurate, degrading, and demeaning and must be made illegal by Her Majesty's Government, as well as governments around the world.
