Make the Tory Government provide a Suit/Professional clothing Allowance for all Citizens.

The issue

Recently, David Cameron, current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom launched a highly personal attack on his opponent- Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn, when he attempted to raise the very real and important concern of Doctors strikes and the funding crisis in the NHS.

Rather than discuss the issue at hand, Mr Cameron opted to answer in an incredibly childish fashion and told Mr Corbyn that his mother would ask him to "Put on a proper suit, do up your tie and sing the national anthem.”

This is a textbook example of both the Ad hominem & the Ignoratio elenchi fallacies when debating- which are some of the easiest fallicies to avoid if an individual has any interest in keeping a debate constructive and relevant.

As Mr Cameron is effectively in charge of an entire country, I think it's fair to assume that he has the competence to avoid these fallicies, and the maturity to not launch petty, personal attacks on people who's opinion differs from his, especially when all they are trying to do is solve a problem.

This brings us to two logical conclusions:

1) I am wrong. David Cameron is not competent enough to participate constructively in a basic debate, let alone debates which put peoples livelihoods at stake. This also means he is a childish, petty individual with no regard for others, and certainly not fit to run a political party, let alone a country.

2) David Cameron does have the competence to avoid these fallicies during debates, and is responsible enough to know what he is doing when debating, and making decisions. This means that his opinion that everyone should have a proper suit is an important, relevant one, and should not just apply to his political opponent.

In this instance, I would like to believe that the man in charge of of all UK residents, knows what he is doing, and I think it's great that Mr Cameron has recognised the importance of everyone owning a proper, well tailored, high quality suit, or other appropriate professional garment.

In light of this being his opinion, I call on him to back it up and provide an allowance for every UK citizen to have the cost of such a suit/professional garment covered 100% - The suits should meet the high standards set by the Prime Minister in both quality of material and craftsmanship. I'm sure he would also agree that any proper suit/professional garment should be personally tailored to the individual.

I would not expect the conservative government to increase any form of tax as a result to cover these costs, as by commenting on the importance of this requirement in a debate about basic human rights, they have acknowledged the urgency that everyone has the right to such garments, and as a result we should not be expected to have to cover that cost in any form.

I also expect the government to do their due diligence in researching how much the allowance needs to be per person to meet David Camerons standards of dress, whilst also ensuring that value for money is retained, after all, they cannot in good conscience subsidise this cost, it will be coming out of their current pot, and we all know how stretched it already is. Nonetheless, I commend David Cameron for not avoiding the issue that well tailored, professional garments are a REQUIREMENT for all individuals, and volunteering to stretch that pot slightly further to ensure his constituents don't go without.

Alternatively, Mr Cameron can refer back to and acknowledge publicly  my first point 1, in which I admit I have completely misread his intentions, I am wrong, and David Cameron is not competent enough to participate constructively in a basic debate. In this case, I think he knows that he is not suited to the important position of Prime Minister and should step down from his position to let someone competent take his place.
