In a voice vote the U.S. House passed a ban on Russian uranium imports. It would still have to pass the Senate and be signed by Biden.
It's unclear if it's a real step forward because it "has waivers in case of supply concerns for domestic reactors." So maybe it changes nothing at all.
The point is to stop the imports period and to transition away from dangerous nuclear power. Witness the Zaporihzhia power plants running understaffed and often off the electric grid.

Supporters of the bill want Senators contacted immediately so it will be passed before the recess.
