The bill to pass uranium imports from Russia failed in December.  It passed the House and that's it.  But an article in the Financial Times predicts the bill will pass.  The article states that the U.S. has now stockpiled enough uranium so this wouldn't inconvenience the nuclear power industry.

This very slow-to-happen measure might help Ukraine but won't do anything on our other goal, to phase out dangerous nuclear power.  

Here's an article in The Sun of the UK "DUCK & COVER Leaking reactors, rigged to explode & a terror target for Putin… Ukraine’s biggest nuke plant on brink of DISASTER."  Maybe it's exaggerated to sell papers, but the issue is real.
