Imagine driving over 250 miles home to celebrate your nephews 25th birthday. You pull up at your moms house. You phone is dead and you have to use the restroom. So you park your car run in the house and ask your mom to register your car.

Next, you hear a knock at the door it’s your moms neighbor. She says, “They are towing your daughters car,” You get to the towing company and they state that they just dropped off your car, it was 9 mins from the time your car was towed and registered, agrees that you got screwed but there is nothing that he can do about it. So you have to pay $300.00 to get your car back.

This is exactly what happened to my sister Jocelyn Carey. I decided to start this petition because as we were talking to my moms neighbors. Most of them stated that their cars have been towed. You should not have to worry about your car being towed were you pay rent. These apartment complexes and tow truck companies are getting over. Something needs to be done. It should be illegal for apartments to tow their residence cars as well as their guests. Help join in the fight to stop the tow truck companies from robbing us of our hard earned dollars.
