The Sun newspaper chose to publish this spiteful, hateful, dishonest, cowardly article by alleged journalist Rod Liddle on 9th December - COVID has made heroes of many of our frontline workers.... but not teachers 
Teachers and other frontline educational staff have been trying to support hundreds of thousands of our children in the most stressful and restrictive of circumstances since the outset of the pandemic.
Contrary to what this pernicious hatchet piece would have you believe they have been back in schools over the past few months and exposed to far greater risks of infection than most of the population, with PPE and social distancing an occasional luxury add-on. Unsurprisingly infection rates amongst teachers have soared because they have bravely continued to fulfil their vocation to educate the nation’s kids. 
Meanwhile this 10th rate keyboard warrior troll has been fearlessly spewing out his slanderous bile from the comfort of his own home.
There is the right to free speech, and then there is this - a toxic lout hurling out highly damaging and entirely false hate speech. 
For once in its sorry little existence The Sun needs to do the right thing and sack him
