The Stranger Things Season 5 Finale Should Be Redone.
The Stranger Things Season 5 Finale Should Be Redone.
The Issue
The whole Stranger Things fandom had eagerly been waiting for the season 5 finale, which came out on New Year’s Eve, but almost the whole fandom was left disappointed.
The finale felt very rushed, with a 3 minute fight scene. Even shorter than Will’s coming out scene. We all expected multiple deaths, an incredible fight scene with a lot of lore. Instead, Eleven supposedly died, as well as 8. But not in the battle.
To continue, we all got queerbaited. In the Stranger Things fandom, there are many popular character ships. A very popular one being ‘Byler’. Throughout the whole season, we expected some sort of kiss, or finding out Mike likes Will back. No, they queerbaited us. It seemed that Mike clearly liked Will back. There were many parts that were definitely queerbait, including when Mike said, “Friends? No. .. Best Friends.”
Then, once they got back from the upside down, and 18 months passed, we got a graduation. This was an amazing scene but, when they are playing D&D for the last time, Mike starts giving them all a story. We all expected for this to lead to Mike confessing feelings. Instead it shows as explains, that Will meets someone else. Yet again, queerbait.
Although there were some amazing and emotional scenes in the last episode, it was very rushed.
