Stella Michelle Ray reported an abusive ex husband, nothing was done about it, a day later she was murdered. I would like to prevent this from ever happening again. If we don't act upon this now, and don't try helping out victims who suffer from domestic abuse, than more innocent people are going to die. This world is going to be more messed up than it already is. The victims of domestic abuse need a voice. Everyday someone is a victim of domestic abuse, some victims are too afraid to report it, we need a law to protect the individuals who are in danger, and make sure that when it's reported it is handled in the correct matter where the suspect is apprehended and taken away. When someone calls the cops for abuse, there's a reason, and it's because they feel they are in danger. There needs to be a better awareness of domestic abuse, and when a call to police is taken, matters should be taken more seriously. Take a second to think how this would affect you if someone you cared about had died due to domestic dispute, and no one did anything to try and help. If Micah would have been apprehended when Stella reported him, she would still be alive today.
