Sexual intimacy is key to maintaining a strong, healthy marriage - especially a marriage that is expected to endure a prison sentence. By allowing these visits, you're giving families a better chance of staying together, thus decreasing the likelihood of recidivism.  By giving inmates this outlet, violent, brutal and traumatizing, non-consensual sex crimes in prisons would decrease - Texas already has a high rate of these.  All visits are a privilege and by having this incentive, inmates are definitely going to be "model prisoners" since no one wants anything coming between them and some private time with their spouse.
