As  Permanent Intermittent employees SEIU union has negotiated our pay days for the 10th-15th of every month. We are the only Department that doesn't know when we will be paid and its inhumane and an Economic injustice for this to be negotiated. As PI employees we work the hardest and endure the most overtime in the department. We work our 30 days some weeks 6 days and still have to wait 45 days to be paid. Our Full time employees are paid on the 1st of the month and doesn't work nearly as much overtime as P.Is. In July 2018 SEIU went into bargaining and never brought the issues of indefinite paydays for PIs. If McDonald's can pay their employees on a definite date the State of California should as well. We pay our union dues before we even see our pay and we should have a voice. Landlords and Creditors don't care about a negotiated contract they want to be paid. We work for the State of California and were homeless Below poverty and the pay was cut. Were not allowed to get additional employment becaufamilies. require us to maintain a 40% call on rate meaning Out of 10 call ins we have to accept 4. As PI we are only given 1500 per fiscal year. So working more hours means at the end of our 1500 hrs they either extend 1000 borrowed hours but not Vacation or sick leave can be used. Employees with disabilities or regular doctors need have to take a lost between the months of March to July 1st. We work outside in all elements and are not required to provide heat or Air Conditioning. They do what ever in their power to make sure we are not paid but expects us to be at work WHENEVER they ask. Our families and outside lives is no concern and AWOLs are handed out at a rapid rate. As State employees and Union members we have rights and those rights are being violated and ignored Due to the unfair conditions negotiated by SEIU. ALL PIs are asking for a revise in Pay compensation practices. If unfair for us to not know when we will be paid. And the excuses of Contract states we have to be paid by the 15th of the month is not acceptable any more. But we can't fight this fight alone. We need our voices heard and changes to be made. We are treated with no respect and SEIU does not fight for our rights. Every body in the State has a payday of the 1st of the month 3rd on the month even the full time employees that do the same exact job gets paid on the 1st. We just want what's rightfully ours and to be able to feed our families
