Save the Katherine Museum

Less than a year before its 35th anniversary, the future of the Katherine Museum is under significant threat. The Museum—one of our town’s most important community assets—plays a vital role in celebrating our shared past, as well as educating our future generations.

The Katherine Museum, built over the years through thousands of hours of volunteer work, donations, and local financial support, now faces the very real prospect of closing its doors. Without sustained annual funding, we simply don’t have the ongoing resources required to survive as a viable operation.

While we are grateful for local business support, Katherine Town Council, as well as support from the NT Government, for the most part these are one-off project based grants—not what we need to keep us afloat in the years to come.
