The Sound Of Justice Speaks Loud! No more Silence Allowed! "WE THE PEOPLE", Will Be Heard
The Issue
In Lowndes County, the cries for justice have been overshadowed for too long by the very system meant to protect us. I am organizing a peaceful rally to stand up against the injustices and demand accountability from our officials. We have endured wrongful convictions, false arrests, unjust detainment, and even physical assaults at the hands of those who misuse their power.
For many families, the nightmare doesn't stop there—the indignity of losing loved ones to the Mississippi prison system due to unjust practices is a heartbreak no one should endure. The notion of qualified immunity has been brandished like a shield, empowering those meant to enforce the laws to act with impunity. This has to change.
Our justice system, which should uphold fairness and protection, has instead become a tool for oppression that systematically strips away the rights and dignity of our community members. Countless lives have been derailed, and voices have been silenced. Today, we refuse to let this continue. Our community deserves better.
On the day of our rally, I want to offer a platform for everyone who has suffered, for those who have lost loved ones to this tyranny, to speak out—not just for themselves, but for everyone who is hurting today. Let us remember those whose voices have been stifled behind prison walls. Let's show the world the painful truth of what is happening here.
We, the people, have the power to change what is broken. Our voices are strong and united, and together, we can usher in the reform that our justice system desperately needs. By standing together, we amplify our call for fairness, transparency, and integrity.
I urge you to join our peaceful rally and help spread the word. Stand with us in solidarity and sign this petition to bring justice back to Lowndes County. Together, let's rebuild a system that truly serves its people.
My son, was one of the victims of this injustice. At just 19 years old, he was Wrongly Convicted and sentenced to 50 years in prison with 35 years to serve day for day. My son had only just graduated high school as a straight A student, with a scholarship and dreams of a bright future! Never had he had any problems with law or getting into trouble. He simply was forced into a position without warning to fight for his life. An individual attacked my son and put a gun to his head, ready to pull the trigger. Could you imagine the fear and horrow that engulfed him? Only 17 years old, he did what any of us would have done, he fought back. Fought for his life! A life he's worked so hard to achieve, dreams, hopes, not yet accomplished. He struck the boy once in his face with a closed fist as hard as he could. He said mom, I had to hit him hard, so I could get away. That's what he did. He took one big punch and ran to his car and left. The young man's injury required 8 stitches and Neosporin. He's not disfigured or scarred like they made the public believe. So...vengeance was taken against my child because he got away. This resulted in Aggrivated Assault with extreme manifest to life, Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, and they added 2 methamphetamine possession charges and an accessory after the fact of taking of a motor vehicle immediately before his trial. He had no criminal record ever, now he has 6 felony indictments that appeared without notice, without evidence of existence. This was used against him in his trial. His trial lasted for 1 hour and a 12 person jury returned a guilty verdict in less than 3 minutes. ( 3 minutes) . After his trial the drug crimes vanished. No record, no reason. The only evidence was the alleged victims perjured testimony. The court refused my son's jury instruction of self defense as well as the other 8 filed by the defense. His witnesses who were present to testify on his behalf, were sent home and not allowed to speak in his defense. Investigators perjured their testimony in ways to destroy my son's character, actions, and all objections went unheard. I watched this nightmare play out in front of my eyes and was unable to stop the destruction. I was threatened to be arrested if I made a commotion. My child fought for his freedom and good name because he was indeed innocent, he was the victim. He had believed in a system that was Just and true and would support him and his Constitutional rights. He put his life in their hands as a child and they maliciously destroyed the faith and hope he'd had all his life, believing in a system he knew nothing about! Fighting for his life and good name caused him to loose his life before it began. He never made a sound when he heard the sentence imposed, he simply bowed down his head and began to cry silently. I was loosing my soul. That day a part of me died! He looked at me as they took him away and said , Momma, It's going to be ok! He told me to stay strong and never stop fighting until he gets back home. He never ask why, he never cursed, he never fought back, he's been yet again , A VICTIM! I have never been the same person since that day. Watching the alleged victims family smiling and laughing at me, as I was on my knees in the parking lot so overwhelmed with loss, crying from places I never knew existed. I was numb, empty, helpless. I couldn't stand! That day is burned into my mind as tho it was only yesterday. I've dedicated my life for the last 5 years, fighting and advocating, and giving support and hope to others that have suffered a loss so unimaginable. My son, in prison, does exactly the same! He did not allow them to break him! To take the only thing he had left, his pride, dignity and strength to overcome what tried to break him! I'm so proud to be his mother and his strength and faith in God, has kept me strong as well as all of you! I will not stop fighting, posting, advocating, supporting, telling the whole world what needs to be heard. I refuse to be silenced! I will only be silent when my God takes me home! Only then! Thank you all and I'm here for each and everyone of you. We are walking thru this living hell together, we will walk out together! Much Stronger! Sending love and prayers to each of you and your families. May God Bless Us All❤️
