The silent takeover of Jamaica by the Chinese needs to STOP
The Issue
'Out of Many One People'
During the Coronavirus epidemic, we have all listened to many issues/problems in the world.
One that stands out and troubles most of us is the slow taking over of Jamaica by the Chinese and other Nations.
A storm is brewing
We know that the Chinese have been residing in Jamaica for decades but they don’t like black people and don’t mix with black people. They have their reasons, what’s ours!
We have seen recent videos in evidence of their racist behaviours against Africans residing in China, where they have thrown the black people out of their homes onto the streets despite having paid their rent and mortgages for their accommodation.
They block these people from going into their shops and refuse to serve them. It is all captured on many videos. The Chinese, in many of the African countries, have been videoed flogging blacks in their own countries. This happened as recently as 4 weeks ago.
Barbaric behaviour
China also has very offensive pictures displayed on billboards on their streets and in museums depicting black people as monkeys and apes. Why do we continue to allow this atrocious behaviour to continue?
The Chinese do not allow the indigenous blacks in their own African countries to mix with them. Indigenous blacks in these countries cannot eat in their restaurants at the same time as Chinese customers or anyone that is of white colour. Why do we tolerate this behaviour?
Running businesses in black countries and paying tax
They all run businesses in Jamaica and other black countries but they do not pay taxes to Jamaica or these black countries and any tax they do pay is minuscule in comparison to the wealth they make. They transfer their wealth off to China or UK or European banks like Swiss Banks. Why do we accept this?
Mr Andrew Holness (Jamaican Prime Minister)
Mr Seth George Ramocan (Jamaican High Commissioner)
1. What are the benefits to Jamaica and Jamaicans by allowing the Chinese to own the Wharf and the Airport?
2. What is/are the risks to Jamaica of the Chinese owning the wharf/port’.
3. Do you think this is really in Jamaica’s best interest?
4. Do you believe the Chinese has Jamaica and its peoples’ best interest at heart by owning these and more resources.
5. Where will the wealth from these resources go?
6. Will they provide jobs and enrichment to Jamaica and its people?
7. How much more will be chipped from being owned or taken from Jamaicans?
8. How much more of our beautiful Jamaica will be sold off to foreign investors?
The selling and distribution of beaches and hot spots
We no longer have private beaches. We can no longer go to certain rivers. There are many beautiful areas within Jamaica that is now owned by outside investors and these areas will never be seen by those living in Jamaica.
Should the Chinese swarm our Island with their own materials, food, workforce. They are busy making plans Mr Andrew Holness & Mr Seth George Ramocan.
If the Chinese have Jamaica/Jamaicans best interest in mind, they should look at funding and managing its Education system, Health Service or Socio-environmental Service? This would be in the best interest of Jamaica. They, instead, choose the port and airports which allows control of the immigration and emigration of the country as well as the country’s security. It will be an open door for them to store anything including arms and all sorts of war equipment in Jamaica and Jamaica won’t have a clue what is happening.
Slowly taking over
No more sugar factories are owned. The Chinese own many shops, wholesalers, businesses, and more in Jamaica. They live among us but they don't buy from us or treat us well. They don't buy from us but we buy from them. Why do we tolerate this behaviour?
Too many outsiders control our life. We don't own anything. We need our power and ownership back.
I am asking the question "What else is being sold"? We need an economy that supports us, it's people. We have no legacy.
I ask the question “What do our children have to look forward to”?
“What legacy are we leaving behind for them”? The future is now.
I ask the question "What are WE building”?
We need to make a change and we need to make it NOW,
Please do not sell us out to the Chinese or any other Nation. They are all looking out for themselves. I want to remain proud of Jamaica, proud of being a Jamaican. Please don’t take this away for us.
Remember our heroes’ sacrifices. We need to build for ourselves on our own terms.
