I am 14 years old and I am at secondary school. I would like to be taught life skills such as budgeting skills, using my maths techniques to devise spreadsheets that can be used for budgeting for bills such as rent, council tax, utility bills, phone bills, the basics needed for when we are older or leaving home to study at university for example. Learning about tax and insurance and how wages you are paid can fall into 20% or 40% tax brackets. All the things I have been fortunate to learn from my mum, but should be taught at school as part of the curriculum and worthwhile for when I am an adult.
