Urgent supplies of baby food must be sent immediately to feed starving children in Gaza. The Royal Navy can do it. They have boats stationed close by.  In a vital humanitarian act, the Royal Navy can ship hundreds of tons of food aid  to the shores of Gaza and ensure it is delivered directly to children facing starvation.

The Royal Navy has the capacity and resources to make a real difference by delivering life-saving aid to the region. Sending ships with baby food and other essential food supplies to the shores of Gaza can provide immediate relief and save lives. This mission of mercy is crucial and an obligation in the face of this horrific crisis. 

The Royal Navy should also protect the ship ‘Handala’  currently sailing  toward Gaza to provide humanitarian aid and break Israel's blockade which is deemed illegal under international law. 

Speeches and statements of support are important but words won’t feed empty bellies. We have all seen the horrific images of starving children on our screens.  We must act now. Every day more children face malnutrition and its dreadful consequences. It's a crisis that demands attention and action.

The UK Government should take the lead. Others in the region will undoubtedly follow. The EU provides €billions of humanitarian assistance globally. It could work with the Royal Navy and other European countries to increase funding and assistance to Gaza. The vital work carried out by the UN and NGOs such as Médecins Sans Frontières, OXFAM and others should be coordinated to focus on the immediate needs of the hungry

In Gaza, children are bearing the brunt of the severe food shortages. According to reports from UNICEF, thousands of children are facing acute malnutrition, which can lead to irreversible physical and cognitive damage. These children did nothing to deserve this suffering. 

Essential assistance delivered via naval ships has precedence. Past missions have demonstrated the effectiveness and urgency with which naval forces can deliver aid to areas in need. The Royal Navy's reputation and ability to navigate these waters can ensure supplies reach those who need them most, safely and promptly.

Our collective voice can urge the Royal Navy to take immediate action to alleviate the suffering of these children. Let us join together to show that we care and are willing to push for the aid to reach the shores of Gaza. It is our responsibility as humans to ensure no child goes hungry, especially when prompt action can alter the course of their lives.
