Since 2012, in response to the brutal murders of PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes in Manchester, a serving officer attempted to highlight to the public the dangers that police officers face on a daily basis, setting up The Thin Blue Line charity.

The petition we have signed is to get the Thin Blue Line Union jack removed from all officers. Our reasons are as follows.

1. Its not part of the police uniform.

2. Officers that tend to wear this badge are known for corruption and abusing powers, like what you may see in a gang. Which is why its known as a gang sign.

3. They have clearly defaced our countries flag, which many lost their lives for.

4. It highlight the police brutality against the public, more members of the public have died at the hands of the police, then the other way around, yet they want a badge for it.

If this petition is successful, we will then go to parliament with it to be voted upon. If that fails we will keep trying until all the gang signs are removed.
