Where as the Salvation Army holds anti-queer, anti-gay, anti-Transgender, anti-LGBTQQIAA2S+ or anti-GRSM (Gender, Romantic, Sexual, Minority) stances we the members of those communities and their allies call on the Region Of  Peel counselors & Mayors of Peel Region Cities to end the partnership with The Salvation Army. 

Although the SVA does good work in the community... they still hold to values that harm the above communities. 

my experience with the Peel Shelter System as transwomen who is now homeless has been noting but horrible and discriminatory... I have been turned down for shelter because I still am in transition and only came out in March of 2020 and have not started medically transitioning due to COVID-19. I have socially transitioned that is to say I live as a women dress as a women and present as a women. I have been told on now 4 occasions to go to the men's shelter, I WILL NOT... a few years ago I had to spend 2 weeks there before I came out and was assaulted and raped!
