Reopen Cindy Lynch's Case

The Issue

As a family we have the right to know what actually happened in the disappearance of this beautiful woman. Cindy Lynch, a beautician, was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend to many people. On January 18, 2005, she was reported missing by her husband in Thunderbolt, Georgia. She and her husband, Chet Lynch,  lived on a yacht docked at the Thunderbolt marina. Many family and friends have some suspicions of what might have ACTUALLY happened that horrible night. However, after two weeks of searching Ms. Cindy was recovered in the Wilmington River some 35 ft behind the house boat she was living in with her husband Chet. After a brief week of investigations and interviews her death was ruled as an accident. Her personal items such as a purse or cellphone were never recovered or located. Cindy apparently had suspicions of something unusual because she made various statements to people she trusted that she felt something was going to happen to her. The mystery surrounding her death still exists to this day and her family and friends deserve the correct answers.  A woman does not make statements that she is afraid something might happen to her and notify authorities right away if it does and then when it does happen as she fearfully exclaimed, it be ruled as an accident. There are many stones left unturned in this case and many questions unanswered. Why did it take so long to report her missing? Why were her personal belongings never recovered? Why in a public interview did her husband speak of her in past tense when her body had not yet been located? Why did her husband tell her childrens father that her son "needed to get down there" (to the marina) "because this isn't going to end good". How did he know how it was going to end? Our family needs to know the answers to these questions and many more. We feel upon a more thorough investigation these answers will be discovered. We do realize that it will not bring back our beautiful Cindy, however, maybe true justice can be served.
