Refund 40% of the tuition payment for students at Amity Global Institute

The Issue

The coronavirus pandemic is happening all over the world. The developing COVID-19 situation in Singapore, has presented unprecedented challenges for everyone. Amity Global Institute, Singapore has decided to migrate all of Full-Time classes completely Remote/Online with all lectures and tutorials being conducted online with effect from Monday, 6 April 2020 for all full-time students.
Students pay the whole tuition fee for full campus face-to-face learning BUT since the learning has transitioned into e-learning the tuition fee should also be reduced. It is not fair to the students as online learning is definitely not the same as campus learning and students specifically pay this amount for the campus learning with face-to-face teaching.
Therefore, it would only be fair and right if the university refunded students with 40% of the paid tuition fee for students of this year.
