Pigeons and seagulls are beautiful birds. They deserve our kindness and respect.
They are not ours to abuse and persecute.
The aim of this petition is to stop the abuse of pigeons and seagulls, so that it becomes something that nobody does any longer.
Our petition has 16,082 signatures. Let’s aim for 25,000. Please sign and share it.
Pigeons, seagulls and all wild birds are “protected” by the Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981, but this law is not enforced, so the abuse continues.
This petition receives “the silent treatment” from Government, or anyone with the power to stop the cruelty. Currently, nobody with the power to stop the abuse of pigeons and seagulls will stop it, but many voices, speaking out against the cruelty, must win in the end!
Now - please see attached link below to “Backyard Poultry” which describes pigeons as heroes of war and refers to an exhibition at Bletchley Park - it gives historical facts about pigeons and all that they did for us. We owe them such gratitude and respect -
