Abuse of pigeons must be made a Hate Crime.
Hatred is not tolerated today, as many notices in public places make clear.
A pigeon was kicked to death by five youths in Huddersfield recently.

WHO will protect pigeons?
I have written to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, (RSPB) to ask how they intend to protect pigeons from abuse.

Many people want pigeon abuse to stop, but anyone in a position to stop the abuse, refuses to take any action to stop it.
St Francis of Assisi preached to the birds, and treated all creatures with kindness and respect, and as his brothers and sisters.

1. Please ask the Royal Foundation Centre to teach children to be kind to all creatures, particularly pigeons. What we teach children in the early years stays with them.
2. Ask the Prime Minister to keep his promise, made to Parliament on Holocaust Memorial Day, to “fight against ALL forms of hatred and prejudice, wherever they are found” by outlawing pigeon abuse and giving pigeons specific protection under the law! No living creature, should be abused.

Please keep your promise, made to Parliamenton Holocaust Memorial Day to “fight against all forms of hatred and prejudice, wherever they are found” by outlawing and stopping pigeon abuse in our parks, streets and public places, and giving pigeons specific protection under the new Animal Welfare Sentience laws and the Action Plan for Animal Welfare. It is unacceptable that pigeon abuse continues in our “Nation of Animal Lovers”.
This abuse is heartbreaking to see. It endangers pigeons lives and people’s safety in parks and public places, because anyone trying to stop the abuse is threatened and abused in return.

More suggestions and ideas for stopping pigeon abuse would be welcome. Please help to get this ghastly abuse stopped. It shames Great Britain that HATRED is TRIUMPHANT over kindness. Pigeons must never be targeted for abuse.
