We stand together against hatred and persecution of pigeons.
Pigeon abuse is violent and incredibly cruel.
Why is it happening? Pigeons are innocent. Why are they singled out for abuse? Do we normally abuse those who have saved thousands of lives, as pigeons have done, and served our nation valiantly in war?
Not one MP, of any political party, spoke up for pigeons at the second reading of the Animal Welfare Sentience bill on 18 January 2022. Has the word “pigeon” been banned?
We will soon commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. On that day last year, 27 January 2021, the Prime Minister encouraged everyone in Parliament to “fight against all forms of hatred and prejudice, wherever they are found”. Noble words, which were enthusiastically received by everyone. Hatred and prejudice have no place in our world… but where is that promise now, for pigeons?

Speciesism is out. Let’s make the world a fairer place for pigeons, and give them full, specific protection under the Animal Welfare Sentience law. The abuse of pigeons, our forgotten heroes of war, shames our Nation of Animal Lovers.
Abuse of pigeons has no place in our modern world today.
