Name the fifth Ford-class Carrier (CVN-82) USS Yorktown

The Issue

In the formative years of the US Navy, carriers were named after famous battles to honor their legacy in the creation of our great republic. Nowadays when carriers represent the might of the most powerful Navy in the world, we have taken to naming our supercarriers after political figures, a move that many have viewed as little more than ego-stroking. We the people ask that our government re-instate the tradition of naming carriers after famous battles starting with the under-construction fifth supercarrier of the Gerald R. Ford-class (CVN-82). The name "Yorktown" will not only honor the final, decisive victory of the war that birthed our great nation but also the two carriers that gave decisive service in the formative years of the US Navy defeating tyranny and fascism in World War 2.
