Speedy implementation of Dharmika/Hindu standards for consumer goods across India.
The Issue
The institutionalised labelling of Halal food or consumer goods is a right and a privilege extended by the Government of India to Muslims in India. Where as it is widely known that Halal certification promotes the use of Islamic rituality and doctrine, it becomes an imposition on the practising Hindu who, even if they are not purchasing meat, are forced to use Halal certified products in their regular lives as well as in their religious rituals. This is not only adharma for a practising Hindu but is also in direct violation of Article 26 of the Constitution of India in the context of Indic/Dharmika religions.
This proposal is aimed towards exhorting the Government of India to protect the rights of Hindu communites as defined under Article 25 (2b) to not be subjected to compulsory Islamisation of consumer goods and edibles. The immediate setting up of a board of Dharmika certification is key to realising this. This is in anticipation that the Government of India will take consideration of this issue and proceed according to the best interests of the citizenry segment herein cited.
