Safety and Security for all Victorians

The issue

Dear Daniel Andrews,

We the people of Victoria, are scared, angry and we have had enough !

We elect you to serve in parliament for us, but can easily change our vote, if you continually fail to heed our pleas for protection & safety !

Our once beautiful state, has become a battleground of crime and violence.

We dutifully pay our taxes and thus your wage, and we deserve to live our lives free from the worry, that we may be the next target of a violent home invasion, car jacking or robbery !

You have effectively disarmed us, no longer do we have the right to weapons that are freely available to gangs of criminals rampaging through our once peaceful state, leaving us all vulnerable and grossly under-protected !

You have handcuffed our great men & women of the police force, who do an outstanding job for menial pay and in dangerous conditions, by reducing their powers, under-funding their work and watering down the law, all to serve a politically correct agenda that is unsustainable !

The laws need to change, Mr Premier. Victorians are now unsafe in their homes and on the streets ! Criminals are continually bailed and released to commit further crimes, sentencing is far too lenient and not a deterrent, and the community expects you to protect us, but the State continually fails us !

Our Victorian Judiciary are constantly letting us down; they hand out meagre sentences, bail habitual offenders, and sentence criminal adults to youth detention ! Are these magistrates & judges in touch with the broader community’s expectations or living in a judicial utopia ?

What is your grand plan for the future of Victoria Mr Premier ?

Do you wish to continue past the next election or do you have something already lined up as an employment option ?

We implore you, please fix our state and let us return Melbourne's title of Most Liveable City !
