Make Pokémon Center Locations Worldwide

Make Pokémon Center Locations Worldwide

The Issue

Pokémon is a Japanese media which since it's 25-year run has become recognized Internationally. However, there's a large disparity when it comes to the franchise's treatment outside of Asia.

For example, the Pokémon Center Stores, which are totally absent outside of Asia. On my trip to Japan back in 2017, I was fortunate enough to visit the Yokohama Pokémon Center. Upon my visit, I was floored to see the amount of merchandise and activities that visitors could engage in. Walls were lined with Pokémon plushes, cards and even clothing. There was a section made for players to play the Pokémon TCG. There were even spots where players could play arcade games such as Pokken Tournament and the then-new Pokémon Ga-olé.

I do not speak for myself when I say that Pokémon fans worldwide yearn for this experience closer to them. In other words, fans worldwide should be have a physical Pokémon Center near them so that they may have the same wonderful experience I had.

Now I'm aware that at one point, there was indeed a Pokémon Center in New York but that has since been long-gone. That was for a Pokémon franchise in its youth.

This is a new, bolstering era of Pokémon, where the demand is higher than ever for such a Pokémon experience.

However, I know this isn't a task that can be done quickly, easily nor for cheap. Locations would have to be carefully picked for maximum profit. Overseas item stock has to be carefully watched and managed. Most of all, WE AS THE FANS MUST BE WILLING TO SUPPORT THESE POKÉMON CENTERS!

The upkeep and longevity of these Pokémon Centers will depend on our commitment to not just visit but make purchases at these Pokémon Centers. As much as we fans would like this to be a love letter, for The Pokémon Company this will be a risky business move. Resources and large amounts of money will be necessary for said move.

This means we cannot complain about prices. The Centers must be able to make stable profit in order to stay open.We must also be willing to visit often. This, however will also be dependent on what opportunities the Center provides for its visitors. As I previously mentioned, the Center I visited was not just a store but also had plenty of activities such as arcade games and a Trading Card Game area where tournaments could be held.

In conclusion, signing this petition is a pact that you are willing to contribute to your local Pokémon Center often. If this means just buying a booster pack or a plush each month or so, do it. These Centers will need your support Trainers to stay afloat. Are you up to the challenge?

1 will not be enough.

100 will not be enough.

Not even 10,000.

We will have to G-Max attack this petition to even have an ear open for us.
