Since the beginning of the Pokemon anime, the main character Ash Ketchum, AKA Satoshi, has never been able to win any regional Pokemon League, only able to win the minor Orange Islands League and Battle Frontier. The fact that he can never win has become an injoke with the Pokemon community across the globe, and has remained the case ever since.

In the beginning of the X & Y series however, things changed. Since the beginning it was hinted that Ash would finally win, and that he trained and developed throughout the whole season for this moment. He had a powerful Pokemon team, practiced every waking day, and even defeated the Kalos champion. He made it all the way to the finals and even in the episode title "カロスリーグ優勝！ サトシ頂上決戦！！ Kalos League Victory! Satoshi's Ultimate Match!!" it was hinted he would win with months of promotional material. At the end however, this was not the case. Instead, his Greninja fell despite narrowly avoiding the final attacks. The ending to this episode with the sudden shift from Ash losing to Team Flare's attack has been met with largescale anger and disgust with the community, as we're left feeling mislead, and wondering why.

That is why I am drafting this petition to you in hopes that we can have proper closure, or at least a response to the backlash. The main issue is not just the fact Ash lost, but how he lost. His Greninja suffered fatigue from an explosion caused by both him and Alain's Charizard, and while both Pokemon were in the explosion, only Greninja was injured, and ultimately, fainted as a result. I write this letter to you in a request to create a small alternate ending to this episode, where Ash wins instead. Not a lot needs to be changed, only a few scenes after the explosion scene need to be changed to make this alternate ending possible.

I ask you Pokemon Company and TV Tokyo, to take action. Many of us are left with a pit in our stomachs, and we want answers to why. It's the 20th Anniversary of the series we love so much, and for that anniversary, we wanted him to win. I ask for any response, if possible.
