The Philadelphia Phillies have instilled a new bag policy for Citizens Bank Park for the 2022 baseball season. You can now only bring in the following:

Only purses (8”x 5” x 1”), medical bags, and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park.

Medical bags and diaper bags can be no larger than 16" x 16" x 8" and will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with Major League Baseball security regulations.

Items that can't be brought in can be found here. They include handbags, totes, camera bags, backpacks, binocular cases, fanny packs, duffel bags, and drawstring bags.

So now, you can't bring food from home and keep it cold/warm. You can't take photos at the ballpark unless you want to risk damaging your camera. If you can't afford prime seats, you can't bring your binoculars without worry of them getting damaged. You CAN store these items in a $10 locker though...

As the prices of everything are on the rise, a family trip to the ballpark is already practically out of reach for many of us. We feel like this bag policy is onerous and without logic. Please reconsider Phillies.
