The Petition To Ban Securly

The Petition To Ban Securly
The Issue
The school should replace Securly with a different software to stop kids from doing bad things, but Securly is illegal.
Paragraph 1: Human Rights
I think that Securly should be disabled because people should have human rights. It is a simple thing, and taking it away would basically mean that you are taking away our human rights. Many people have fought for human rights. Overall, being able to have access to entertainment is vital and should be a basic human right, and should be something that is never taken away. The school should easily understand this, and I don't blame the principals, but the administrators or the people that established this.
Paragraph 2: Boredom
Children should be able to play games freely when they are done with their work. This is a basic human right, like I stated in the first paragraph, and kids need a way to entertain themselves while they are waiting to finish their work. Also, the school can monitor what kids do, instead of lazily installing a (potentially illegal) spyware application. Lastly, I think that it is weird that the school is restricting children's websites while their students are 11+ years old. The school simply assigns boring work, and expects kids to not look for ways to entertain themselves. Some teachers have even included "extension activities" to stop children from looking for ways to occupy themselves. It makes absolutely no sense that the school would block something that kids are older than.
Paragraph 3: Lawsuit?
Securly was sued for 5 million dollars because they were selling children's private information to 3rd party organizations without the child's consent. It is obvious that this application is dangerous, since they can easily spy on kids. It is shocking that the school would use such a low-level software to access student info on their Chromebooks. This has been running unchecked for many years, and it is about time that the children stand up for themselves to make things right in this school. Overall, this is something that must be stopped, before kids give up.
