Petition updateTo vote to stay in the United Kingdom familyProud to be Scottish, proud to be British
To Scotland with love
Jun 1, 2014
As the number of signatures to the petition passes 1000, we have looked back at the comments which many signatories have made. Some of the most poignant comments have come from those who have family members in Scotland and who hate the idea of a border dividing them. Equally heartfelt have been points made by Scots living in other parts of the UK who fear being alienated from the land where they were born: from their comments, they feel proud to be both Scottish and British and see no conflict between the two. Now that the EU and local elections are out of the way, we can expect the Scottish Referendum, including the emotional issues, to become increasingly prominent in the media across the UK.
