Since the outbreak of the Corona Virus, commonly known as COVID-19, the students of West Valley have had school cancelled until April 16th. After new observation and studies, it is now unsure when school will be back in session. 

For the class of 2020, this means uncertainty of a Prom and now maybe no graduation ceremony. This class has gone through a lot in their lifetime as most seniors do. They were born in the crisis of 9/11, and have felt the loss of one of their own after Tyson Wacker’s death last year. Many believe that prom is an event that is not important, but this is one of the last times these students get to relax and enjoy childhood before the abruptness of adulthood hits, and graduation is deserved after 13 years of hard work. Its their time. 

the goal of this petition is to ensure that no matter what, this class will get a prom and walk at graduation. Whether that be in June or July, or early August. It can be assumed they wont mind when-as long as they get their well deserved ending to high school. Please, think about your own senior year, would you have liked your ripped away from you?
