Today I watched the movie Underwater (2020) on the plane. It was listed as Horror/Thriller. It was both a horror and a thriller up until the end of the movie when a massive Cthulu came out of the ocean floor and changed the movie from an underwater version of Alien to Pacific Rim without the robots. This petition will force entertainment companies to provide a clear distinction between the Lovecraftian horror genre and the regular Horror genre. They are too different and H.P. Lovecraft inspired stories are too whimsical to be classified under the common Horror genre. If you or a loved one has also fallen victim to the heinous form of movie trickery, sign this petition to make the change! Sub genres deserve just as much respect as the larger ones, but they need to be differentiated by a button or something.
