The Issue

Lacking the rights is a cause of loss the lives and others that already happening in the world the history said.

Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) the only extensive hilly area in Bangladesh lies in southeastern part of the country. The Chittagong Hill Tracts is a distinct region in terms of its ethnic, cultural and environmental diversity to the rest of Bangladesh combining three hilly districts of Bangladesh: Rrangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban districts. The area of the Chittagong Hill Tracts is about 13,295 sq km, which is approximately one-tenth of the total area of Bangladesh.

Total population enumerated in the 1991 census was 9, 74,447 of which 5, 01,114 were tribal/Indigenous and rest are from different communities. The local tribes/indigenous, collectively known as the Jumma, include the Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Tenchungya, Chak, Pankho, Mru, Murung, Bawm, Lushai, Khyang, and Khumi. Among the non tribal communities most of the inhabitants are Bengali Muslim settlers. The remainders are followers of Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity and Animism.

These tribal and non tribal peoples in the CHT are living in keeping their own ethnic cultural, religious and linguistic diversity from since centuries and was lived with communal harmony but unfortunately before and after independent due to were discrimination on tribal/indigenous and lack of respect on their rights therefore huge problems and happened an arm conflicted therefore many tribe/indigenous lives, lands etc gone lost specially for Kaptai Dam and race conflicted with PCJSS (independent seekers) and government of the Bangladesh and often happen. It is regrettable for world tribe/indigenous peoples and humanity peoples; still they have to struggling for their survivable, land and rights.

On the other hand, while there are happened the conflict then in lead of Ven. U Khemachara Mohathero (A Buddhist Monk) aimed to provide free of cost services to  the orphan and helpless children in 1982 to this Bangalhalia Agapara Buddhist Welfare Orphanage (BABWO) were established. It is a child development charity organization. In the Chittagong Hill Tracts of the Bangladesh it is a first charity child development organization.

Regardless of race and religion currently the BABWO more than 100 of the orphan and deprived most poor children and families in Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh are providing free of cost services. It is got registration from the District Social Welfare Department of Bangladesh. The Registration No. is Ranga-26/1988 and dated was August 8, 1988.

Here in the Chittagong more than 5 orphanages are running with financial difficulties including the BABWO. As this BABWO orphanage more than 100 of the orphan and deprived most poor children and families providing free of cost services therefore often had to face financial difficulties due to lacking own resources and international community supports. The BABWO therefore sufficiently can not feeding to the orphanage children. For can feeding and provide services especially the foods, lodging and educational stationeries and health supplies is need.

The international humanity peoples are needed to be focusing and stand by this orphanage. We sincerely believe and hoping to see the international community peoples are performing the best for this BABWO Orphanage and others orphanage as can possible. BABWO always hoping to you kindness love and supports.
